Arco della Pace

Ciao!

The weather in Milan is absolutely amazing. I’m enjoying these day very much.

I shot this outfit with my milano bestie Natasa from My Daily StyleBook. Check her blog here.

I picked my old red pants that I love so much for this outfit. White shirt without collar is one of my favorites as well. When it comes to footwear, I’m loving this new Leo Clamp gommino and I’m wearing very often. There isn’t anything more comfortable than Tod’s gommino.

Milano days

Ciao! 🙂

These two weeks were very busy. I had so much to do but now I’m enjoying the free time I have. Milan Design week is my favorite time of the year. I attended many events during last week, and visited many exhibitions. I was so happy to collaborate with one of my favorite brands ever Tod’s on their limited edition design collection event.

This is an elegant outfit I was wearing often recently. Blue pants, white shirt and brown scarf. Since I don’t like ties that much scarf is the best alternative. This Zara coat is also lovely, I wore it on my graduation day and since then I’m wearing it with all of my blue outfits. Tod’s gommino is my favorite shoe. Can’t wait to show you the new ones I’v got from them in one of the next outfits.

The location where we shot the outfit is Piazza San Fedele in Milan, one of my favorite squares. It is located just behind Duomo and Galleria. I love it because is very central and very quiet at the same time. Make sure to check it when in Milan. 🙂

Looking at Tod’s Leo

Last night I had the opportunity to discover the brand new limited edition collection from Tod’s. This collection is particular for many different reasons. Giulio Cappellini, one of the most important names in the world of design has invited five young designers/design studios to participate in this unique project. They have re-interpreted the iconic Leo Clamp gommino, inspired by five different natural materials: wood, leather, ceramic, metal (titanium) and marble.

It was an extreme honour for me to meet Mr. Cappellini and get the explanations about the whole idea directly from him. He thinks that it is very important to approach Tod’s to the world of design during Milan Design Week and he considers Tod’s a design brand. He enjoyed working with the young designers. He decided to engage the young Italian designers in order to promote the idea of Made in Italy and he’s also happy about the fact that some of the designers worked in collaboration with their international partners.

I also met the designers and they guided me through the entire collection. The first limited edition Leo Clamp gommino that i am going to tell you about is the one inspired by leather. Giorgia and Daniele from Studio Zanellato/Bortotto re-interpreted their Leo Clamp gommino in leather trying to maintain the traditional techniques used by Tod’s with the modern and innovative tecniques. Their gommino has become a unique peace where even the buckle was made of leather.

The next one I am going to present you is the marble one, designed by Francesca Lanzavecchia and Hunn Wai. Their main idea was the symbolic meaning of marble: the eternity. They consider the Tod’s gommino an eternal accessory. Connecting marble, something very hard and cold with leather that is soft makes this shoe very special. The buckle in this case is blue and it stands for the color of their studio. Lanzavecchia and Wai are working together also on other projects and they enjoy making fusion between East and West and different cultures since Francesca comes from Italy and Hunn from Singapore.

Mist-O is a designer duo based between Tokyo and Milan. Their gommino was inspired by ceramic and they decided to re-interpret it using a geometrical pattern on the surface. The surface is very important on the ceramic in general and they wanted to recall the idea of the decorated surface that can be typically seen on ceramic.

The next material that has been used as the inspiration to re-interpret the iconic Leo Clamp was wood. Enrica Cavarzan and Marco Zavagno from ZAVEN studio got inspired by the tropical world applying some very strong colors (blue, externally) and contrast (orange). This shoe has its own perfume, an essence that revokes the scent of the wood and tropical ambients.

Leonardo Talarico is a Milanese designer who re-interpreted the Leo Clamp gommino inspired by the concept of metal, or more precisely titanium. His shoe represents his own style and way of designing by linearity of forms. He removed the frontal seam and he added four pins at the left and right side of gommino. He opted for blue as a colour because it’s a colour that personally belongs to him and represents him.

Brera

Ciao! 🙂

I know it may sound like a cliché, but Brera is definitely my favorite neighborhood in Milan. I haven’t shot any outfit in Brera recently so we decided to do it with this one. I’m really looking forward to Fuorisalone and Milan Design Week to explore some secret locations in Brera and all around Milan.

I’m wearing the orange sweater from Cos that I’m loving so much. It’s very comfy and warm enough for this time of the year when weather changes so fast. Ripped jeans are always a good idea for an easy afternoon around town. I’m keeping this look pretty casual and sporty with my Nike Free Run 3.0. that make feel I’m wearing only socks.

Have a look at the photos and let me know what you think.

A day at Navigli

Ciao! 🙂

I’m finally back. It was my longest absence since I started bloging, but there’s a good reason! I graduated two days ago!!! The feeling is great but it’s also very strange not to think about school and courses after 17 years of education. In any case, it’s definitely one of the biggest achievements in my life and I’m happy that I shared these moments with my family and friends.

Let’s get back to the outfit. I’m wearing my leather jacket pretty often these days since the weather is great. I love spring. I opted for a pair of Levi’s jeans and a white shirt. Have a look at the pictures and let me know what you think about it.
