Ciao! 🙂
In this post I wanted to share with you more from the second day of Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Let’s start!
SANTONI
The latest Santoni spring/summer collection was presented in an extraordinary way, at Palazzo Bocconi, one of the most beautiful places in Milan. The set has been directed by Angelo Flaccavento who wanted to engage all senses in order to discover this new collection from Santoni. They defined this collection as the collection for ”an out-of-the-schemes bon viveur: a light-hearted gourmand who only enjoys the best, in every field, and likes to play and have fun with it.”  I love the way Santoni maintains the brand heritage and keeps reinterpreting their iconic models every season. Hand-colored mocassin in calfskin, oxford shoe, slipper with V-neck are just some of the pieces that I loved at the first sight. I also appreciated the sneakers collection, simple ones made both in white and black with serigraphy available in different colors.
BALLY
Bally is one of those brands that always surprises me with the innovative designs. This time, they offered a varied collection; from shoes and accessories to ready-to-wear. I love the way they adapt the iconic pieces to the actual trends. Their accessories are always my favorites. This time, the backpacks were my absolute favorites: colorful and with patches that don’t make them only a perfect travel companion but also a fashion accessory. When it comes to footwear, espadrilles and sandals (you can see them both on photos) are the best summer shoes to have.
ROSSIGNOL
Rossignol is a French brand, well-known for the luxury sportswear. Recently they launched their first apparel collection (last season, FW 16/17) and they kept doing it for the spring/summer 17. ”Sport goes fashion” is their guideline since they are combining the sporty style clothing with fashion. They are using innovative materials and combine them with comfort fabric in order to get a perfectly wearable product that remains elegant and casual at the same time. The color palette includes many colors, but the dominant ones remain navy, red, white and bordeaux. These colors remind of colors of France and their logo with the rooster. This collection is, as they precise, for ”an urban athlete who always loves to distinguish himself, in a luxurious but discreet way.” You can see more on the pictures bellow. This oversized sweater (the second photo) is everything!
BIKKEMBERGS
Bikkembergs’ location for the fashion show was spectacular: the swimming pool. The show started with a waterpolo training session. Could it be any better for a brand such as Bikkembergs? It was an homage to sport, the core value for every Bikkembergs collection. Leather and neoprene as materials are dominating the collection. The color palette varies from black and white to gold and silver for accessories. Kids collection was also presented and it was very nice to see how the kids were accompanied by older men and women that were walking down the runway. They are definitely becoming the new Bikkembergs athletes of the future. The show was followed by the after party by the pool which make us feel already on summer holidays.
DAKS
It was my very first time to attend DAKS fashion show. I absolutely enjoyed the show and loved the collection. DAKS combines classic and modern and for this collection they got inspired by India and Indian culture. It’s a collection for the traveler, the one that enjoys meeting new cultures and that easily gets inspired by their customs. Long shirts and flared trousers were some of the main looks for this season. I payed attention on some details as well, such as belts, and necklaces that were extraordinary. Long belts in suede are absolutely adorable because they can be worn all around your hips in order to get a very spontaneous look.
