Earlier this month, as you definitely saw on my Instagram feed, I visited Marrakech for the first time and it was an excellent experience. It was very warm, almost summerish, between 23 and 26 degrees during the day and I would definitely suggest to visit Marrakech at this time of the year because it’s not that crowded neither since it’s one of the it destinations at the moment.
I stayed right inside the old town Medina, at 72 Riad Living. Riad is a traditional Moroccan home with an atrium/garden inside and in my opinion there’s no better place to stay at when in Marrakech. Riad 72 Living was centrally located, within the walls of Medina in a quiet street. It was just 10 minutes walk from the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna square and the souks of Marrakech. The luxurious interior made in traditional Moroccan style was absolutely what I was looking for during my stay.
We had chance to stay at the one of the Grand Suites, located right with the direct access to the main court. There was a living room downstairs and upstairs we had a spacious bedroom, walk-in closet and an amazing bathroom. I loved the way modernity and tradition blend and the comfort of the suite itself. An interesting fact is that they produce soaps for their guest at Riad 72 so we had the chance to choose our soaps at the beginning of the stay. They were so good!
Riad 72 Living also has an amazing rooftop terrace. It was definitely my favorite part of the riad. The terrace overlooks the entire city and it is particularly adorable at sunset. There’s also a possibility to book breakfast on the terrace and I definitely suggest to do it. Breakfast was very tasty and combines sweet and salty options. The Moroccan style crepes were so delicious as well as the fruit, pomegranate in particular.
The entire staff was very kind and helpful. They assisted us with airport transfer booking and gave us all necessary information about the city including places to see and visit.
