PAUL ANDREW

Very special location on the West Street, on the top floor overlooking Manhattan was a perfect welcome to New York City. Paul Andrew is a New York based shoe designer who recently became Women’s footwear design director at Salvatore Ferragamo. His Fall-Winter 2017 collection for men really impressed me. Marble printed patent leather was something completely new to me. I already saw something similar but it never looked that good and realistic. Marble is one of the biggest trends mostly in interior and furniture design and I loved the way it started influencing fashion as well. I shouldn’t forget the other items presented last February; double monk shoes interpreted in Paul Andrew style, more casual than usual and last but not the least, biker boots available in short and long version which are so fashionable and comfortable for winter.

LIBERTINE

Prints, prints, prints! Libertine collection always bring great vibes and emotions. I remember some of their previous collections and this one perfectly represents the essence of the brand. Very colorful patterns, animal print, pop culture elements are just some of the main characteristics of the Libertine Fall-Winter 2017. Coats with cool phrases, woolen blazer with the flower embroideries and rainbow motives are just some of my personal highlights of the collection. Since both men’s and women’s collection were presented together, it was very interesting to see how the same unisex item can be styled in both ways.
