Ciao! 🙂
As you might have probably seen on my Instagram and Facebook, last week I attended Septwolves fashion show. It’s a Chinese brand founded 26 years ago and it is a leader in menswear fashion in China. They do mostly casual pieces that reflect the tradition of Chinese heritage but also the modernity. I really appreciated the way they worked on creating this interesting mixture of oriental elements, well known in Chinese tradition and the contemporary designs that are taking over the fashion system all around the world.
The latest collection, spring/summer 2017 that Septwolves presented during Milan Men’s Fashion Week is called Wolftotem. The wolf, archetype of this brand is the main protagonist of this collection together with the black tiger, an ancient Chinese symbol of happiness and success according to the Yi culture. Dragons, phoenixes and bamboo are just some of the patterns used to make this collection even more attractive. The color palette includes black and white of course but there are also interesting combinations of red and yellow.
This collection is not only a story about new menswear designs, but also a voyage to the Chinese mythology and history that keeps being reflected in every piece of their collection.
Before the show I enjoyed the cocktail where I met many bloggers and afterwards I had fun at the after party organized at magical Chiostro di San Barnaba where the show took place as well.
Have a look at some of the photos I took during the show and let me know what you think. 🙂
