Ciao!
The Men’s fashion weeks for spring summer collections 2017 are over. During next days I am going to share with you some of my favorite collections presented at Milan Men’s Fashion Week and at Paris Men’s Fashion week, so keep following me to discover more about that.
Let’s start with the first day of Milan Men’s Fashion Week and the presentations and shows I went to.
JIMMY CHOO
Jimmy Choo SS 2017 was one of the most interesting collections during this fashion month. Sandra Choi, creative director of the collection said: “This collection is for the artists, adventurers and the rebels: gentlemen whose greatest wealth is their natural nobility and taste.” Different styles are being combined: from rock and punk inspired pieces to more elegant and classic ones, already iconic for Jimmy Choo. My favorite ones were definitely Elton soft suede double stripe fringe sandals along with Holden, jodhpur boot.
PAL ZILERI
I loved the way they combined their sartorial heritage with fashion. Classic pieces have been reinterpreted in order to get the contemporary look. Shorts, shirts, trousers, coats, leather shirts and jackets all made of light materials, perfect for hot summer days. I really appreciated the presence of colors especially the orange and green. Of course, the iconic Pal Zileri suits were presented as well in order to keep the tradition of this brand. You can watch the full show here.
LES HOMMES
Les Hommes SS 2017 has been inspired by South America at the time of the Conquistadors. The first looks on runway were military looks, reinterpreted in an urban way and all of them are absolutely wearable. Regarding the color palette, it starts with the military green and goes to black and gold (as you can see on the first photo). The models were perfectly stylized and the entire atmosphere at the venue brought us to the time of Conquistadors. For example, models were wearing small piercings on their lips, noses and ears and the music was also perfectly in line with the entire story. You can watch the full show here.
EDHEN MILANO
Edhèn Milano is a Milan based brand directed by Filippo Cirulli and Filippo Fiora, my favorite Italian menswear influencers. They launched their brand recently and this is their first spring summer collection. Filippo and Filippo guided me through this collection and explained me what inspired them to create every single shoe. Exotically correct is the name of the collection; Kensington loafers are made in different colors: pink, yellow and blue with embroidered childish artworks such as little zebra, pineapple, palm tree and others. Brera loafer is Edhèn Milano iconic model to be and it was presented both in leather and suede.
CHURCH’S
Church’s is Church’s: timeless and elegant. Their collections from season to season keep the brand heritage models and reinterpret them by using different materials and colors. The leather is also reworked on some models, such as Shanghai, in order to get a very special effect. The color palette varies from black to red, blue and bordeaux which brings the vivacity to the entire collection.
