I traveled many times to London this year but all of my stays for pretty short. That’s why I find very important to choose the right place to stay. I always look for the best balance between comfort and location and last time I managed to get both. I visited London earlier in December and I absolutely enjoyed the pre Christmas atmosphere in the city and at St James’s Hotel and Club Mayfair, the hotel I stayed during this visit.
St James’s Hotel and Club Mayfair is located in Mayfair, few minutes from Piccadilly and Bond Street which makes it perfect for a short stay in London. Since the hotel is small and looks like a typical Mayfair house, the atmosphere is very cozy and reminds of home, especially with all of the Christmas decorations. St James’s Hotel and Club Mayfair is also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World which confirms their excellence as a luxury hotel.
I stayed at the Executive room and the room was very modern, cozy and comfortable with a nice bathroom with bathtub and the street view. The service was great. I had chance to order my breakfast in room and it was so delicious. Eggs Bennedict are my favorite dish to order for breakfast. I also dined at the main restaurant and the food was great as well.
Another experience I had during my stay at St James’s Hotel and Club Mayfair was a dinner at Seven Park Place. The food was divine! Starting from the starter, appetizers, to the main course and dessert. I opted for salmon fillet as a main course and it was so delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel, because Seven Park Place is open to public.
