Ciao!
Milan Fashion Week is over. In this post I am going to show some of my favorite collections. This only a Part 1 of the collection reviews.
Tod’s
As you have seen on my Instagram, Tod’s presented an absolutely amazing collection. I had the opportunity to see the entire collection at the official re-see and be exclusively guided through it by the Tod’s PR team. I loved the way they are combining sport and sartorial pieces: trenches and blazers on one hand and bikers on another. The innovation of the iconic pieces makes this collection very particular. The Wave bag and the double T bag, as the two iconic bags, have been presented with geometric patterns and fur details. The footwear collection features the iconic gommino and double T moccasin. These are my favorite looks of Tod’s fall/winter collection:
Bally
Bally never disappoints. Their fall/winter 2016/17 was 60s inspired. Colorful pieces, but also the simple ones: black and ones. The innovation of the heritage is another thing that characterizes this collection. One of their iconic shoes has been redisgned. Enjoy some of my favorite looks.
Andrea Incontri
I loved the new collection by Andrea Incontri and I find it very romantic and sophisticated. The leitmotif of this collection is a four leaf clover, also the new logo of the brand. In their own words, from this detail arises the LUCK BAG and the mini LUCK BAG which are the result of craftsmanship and the Made in Italy excellence: every feature helps make the bag unique. Nappa leather and nubuck colored in a variety of tones, from military green, gray, majorelle blue to black, platinum and silver.
Hogan
Hogan presented its new collection on the second day of MFW. It’s a vivid collection with statement pieces such as wide sneakers, bespoke tuxedos, cropped cut trousers and oversized shirts. When it comes to footwear, items that Hogan is well known for, luxury trainers, derby and ankle boots are the main ones. The color palette is very simple: white black, silver and gold and that makes the pieces from this collection timeless.
Versace
As you have already seen on my Instagram, I had the opportunity to visit Versace headquarters and the iconic Gianni Versace showroom in order to see and experience their latest womenswear ready to wear collection. This collections is characterized by the ice breaking cuts through dresses, coats and sweater. The focus is on the outerwear, but also on shirts: cotton and printed silk ones. As it’s a fall/winter collection, the knits don’t lack; long sleeve knit dresses with zips are an absolute must have. Donatella Versace said: “This collection is so important to me. Every single piece is wearable, desirable, real. It’s about expressing a woman’s strength and her individuality.” Here, you can see my favorite looks from the collection.
Stay tuned for the Part 2 later this week.
